Gunnery Sergeant Burns leads a Marine security detachment at an American Embassy in the Middle East, but their presence is severely limited by the Ambassador's liberal views to avoid offending the host government. When terrorists attack, they easily kidnap hostages and escape. Burns disobeys orders, becoming a one-man force to rescue the hostages and eliminate the terrorists.
