In 2021, Marta, a 27-year-old photographer, faces a devastating blow when her British company downsizes and fires her in Barcelona. With her friend Lili leaving to pursue an artistic commune, Marta is left alone and jobless. She moves back to her hometown of Cornella, reuniting with old friends Bea, Soraya, and Desi, and begins to work at a photo shop. However, her attempts to fit in and achieve her artistic ambitions are constantly thwarted by her own insecurities and the harsh realities of her working-class background. When Lili unexpectedly appears in Cornella, exposing Marta's lies and causing her friends to reject her, Marta must confront her true identity and find a new path forward.
