A young student, Lyudmila Pavlichenko, enlists in the army in 1941 after the war breaks out, and discovers she's a natural-born sniper. She becomes a threat to the German High Command, which orders her elimination. Despite this, Lyudmila finds love, but her life is soon disrupted again, leaving her wounded and the man she loves on the brink of death.
