M-G-M's first 3-D production, shot at a Tucson, Arizona rodeo, tells the story of a day between rodeo events. Gig Young, a bronc buster, has left his wife Polly Bergen for a rodeo fan, Barbara Lawrence. Young and Bergen's reconciliation is facilitated by Harry Morgan, an aging bronc buster turned rodeo clown, who is married to Jean Hagen and has a young son, Lee Aker.
