Legendary martial arts star Buford Lee, known for starring in over 800 low-budget martial arts films, is the subject of a documentary film. The documentary follows Ronald McK, a young filmmaker, as he tries to make a name for himself by shooting a documentary about his favorite martial arts hero, Buford Lee. As Ronald delves deeper into Buford's career, he uncovers the challenges and setbacks that Buford has faced in his quest to make it big in Hollywood. Despite the odds, Buford remains determined to make his breakout film, "18 Fingers of Death!", and with Ronald's help, they decide to make an independent film.
