Yvette Nicole Brown, a talented American actress and comedian, was born on August 12, 1971. Her most notable role to date is arguably Shirley Bennett on the popular NBC sitcom Community, which she played from 2009 to 2015.
In addition to her work on Community, Brown has appeared in a wide range of television shows and films. Some of her notable roles include Angela Martin on the Bounce sitcom Act Your Age, Rosaleen in the 2022 film Disenchanted, The Driver in Muppets Haunted Mansion, Sherilyn Thomas on the Disney+ series Big Shot, Aunt Sarah in the live-action version of Lady and the Tramp, Dani on the CBS sitcom reboot of The Odd Couple, Gray Sister #2 in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Rhodesia in Repo Men, Dori in The Ugly Truth, Ms. Camwell in Hotel for Dogs, and Helen on Nickelodeon's Drake and Josh and its subsequent TV movie Merry Christmas Drake and Josh.
