Biography

Valerie Marron was born Valerie Merians on October 22, 1955, to Ron Merians, the owner of the renowned Joyous Lake music bar in Woodstock, New York, which he operated from 1970 to 1979.

Valerie's parents divorced when she was just three years old, and her mother remarried soon after. Unfortunately, her stepfather began abusing her at the tender age of six.

At fourteen, Valerie was sent to a boarding school, but she eventually ran away at sixteen and made her way to Manhattan, where she lived on the streets.

Valerie made her debut in the hardcore movie industry for Eduardo Cemano and went on to appear in a handful of explicit adult features throughout the early to mid-1970s.

During this period, she frequented iconic music clubs such as CBGB and Max's Kansas City, and even dated Mickey Ruskin, the owner of both establishments.

As the 1970s progressed, Valerie decided to leave the adult film industry and focus on her music career, writing and singing her own songs.

She eventually started dating Felix Pappalardi, a singer, songwriter, music producer, and bass guitarist, but their relationship tragically came to an end when Pappalardi was shot and killed by his estranged wife Gail Collins in 1983.

Following this devastating event, Valerie struggled with drug addiction and depression.

However, she was able to overcome her addiction in 1986 and later dealt with various serious health issues, including liver failure and the loss of all her teeth.

In her later years, Valerie lived in a two-bedroom apartment with her close friend and fellow adult film actress Andrea True.

Sadly, Valerie Marron passed away on October 13, 2008, at the age of 52, leaving behind a daughter.
