Valerie Cruz, born July 18, 1976, is an American actress of Cuban ancestry, hailing from Elizabeth, New Jersey. She pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from Florida State University, laying the groundwork for her future success in the entertainment industry.
Cruz's early career saw her appear in films such as Cellular, as well as a notable role as Grace Santiago in the hit television series Nip/Tuck. Although she played a main character in the show, she left the series after the first season.
In addition to her film and television work, Cruz has made guest appearances in popular series like Grey's Anatomy and Las Vegas.
