Tommy Flanagan, a renowned Scottish film actor, was born on July 3, 1965, in Glasgow, Scotland, where he was the third of five children. The actor's unmistakable facial scars are a direct result of a violent mugging that left an indelible mark on his features.
Flanagan's early foray into television began with appearances in the British drama series Screen One in 1992 and Taggart in 1993. Prior to his breakthrough role in Braveheart (1995),he spent three years honing his craft at the esteemed Raindog Theatre, working under the guidance of renowned director Ken Carlyle.
