Shia Saide LaBeouf, born on June 11, 1986, is a multifaceted American artist, known for his work as an actor, performance artist, and filmmaker.
LaBeouf's early career in television began with his role as Louis Stevens in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, earning him Young Artist Award nominations in 2001 and 2002, as well as a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003.
He made his film debut in The Christmas Path (1998) and continued to work in television, appearing in shows such as Holes (2003),Constantine (2005),and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010).
LaBeouf's breakthrough role came in 2007, when he starred in the commercially successful films Disturbia and Surf's Up. He then went on to play the main protagonist, Sam Witwicky, in Michael Bay's science fiction film Transformers, which became one of the highest-grossing films of 2007.
He reprised his role in the sequels Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011),both of which were box office successes. In 2008, LaBeouf appeared in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as Henry "Mutt Williams" Jones III.
