Shane McConkey, a renowned professional skier and daredevil BASE jumper, was born on December 30, 1969, in the vibrant city of Vancouver, British Columbia. Despite being raised in various locations throughout his childhood, McConkey eventually made Squaw Valley, California his temporary home base, where he pursued his passion for skiing. However, his roots were deeply connected to Boulder, Colorado, where he kick-started his professional skiing career and attended the University of Colorado Boulder before dropping out of college.
