Roberto Agustin Trujillo, also professionally known as Robert Trujillo, is a renowned American musician, whose remarkable career has been marked by his appointment as the current bassist of the iconic heavy metal band Metallica. Prior to his tenure with Metallica, Trujillo had already gained recognition as a member of the influential crossover thrash metal band Suicidal Tendencies, which blended aggressive metal riffs with hardcore punk's energy and intensity. Additionally, he was a key contributor to the funk metal supergroup Infectious Grooves, known for their unique blend of heavy metal and funk elements. Furthermore, Trujillo has also been an integral part of the heavy metal band Black Label Society, founded by guitarist Zakk Wylde, and has collaborated with notable artists such as Jerry Cantrell from the grunge band Alice in Chains and Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.
