Paul Telfer, a British actor born on October 30, 1979, in Paisley, Scotland, has had a diverse career spanning both the United Kingdom and the United States. Telfer graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1999, earning a First Class honours degree in Film Studies.
He has appeared in several notable television series, including Is Harry on the Boat? (2002),where he played Matt, a charming airline ground crew member with a notable lack of dance skills, and Mile High (2003),in which he portrayed Rory, a male stripper. Telfer's extensive work in ancient history and mythological epics includes roles such as Gannicus in the 2004 TV movie Spartacus, Hephaestion in the 2007 film Young Alexander the Great, and the title role in the 2005 TV miniseries Hercules.
In 2007, Telfer appeared in five episodes of the BBC drama Hotel Babylon, playing Luke, a less-than-trustworthy concierge, and also had a role in the TV series NCIS, where he portrayed Marine Corporal Damon Werth, a troubled Marine who had recently returned from an Iraq tour of duty. The episode "Corporal Punishment" was broadcast on CBS in the United States, and he also appeared in two episodes of season 7, "Outlaws and In-laws" and "Jack Knife", reprising his role as Damon Werth.
Telfer has also lived in New Zealand for several years and has co-written theatre work. In his personal life, he has supported the testicular and prostate cancer charity Everyman by posing nude in the women's magazine Cosmopolitan. He has also appeared in the 2011 film Son of Morning.
