Paul Lazar is a multifaceted American artist, whose impressive repertoire encompasses the realms of acting, direction, and pedagogy.
As an actor, he has garnered widespread recognition for his collaborative endeavors with the renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme, having made appearances in no less than six of Demme's notable productions, including the critically acclaimed and commercially successful psychological thriller, The Silence of the Lambs, released in 1991.
Beyond his distinguished body of work in film, Lazar is also the co-founder of the innovative dance-theater company, Big Dance Theatre, and holds the esteemed position of associate member with the avant-garde performance collective, The Wooster Group.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Lazar currently serves as a professor of theater at the prestigious Harvard University, where he shares his extensive knowledge and expertise with the next generation of performers and artists.
