Paapa Essiedu

Paapa Essiedu, a talented British actor, was born on June 11, 1990. He spent his formative years in East London, where he was raised by his mother, a devoted fashion and design teacher. Essiedu's family heritage boasts a rich Ghanaian background, with a half-brother and half-sister residing in his homeland. His early life was marked by academic success, as he secured a prestigious scholarship to attend The Forest School, Walthamstow. Initially, Essiedu's aspirations were centered around pursuing a career in medicine, with the goal of becoming a respected doctor. However, his trajectory took a dramatic turn when he was accepted into the esteemed Guildhall School of Music and Drama. It was during his time at this renowned institution that Essiedu's passion for Shakespearean theatre began to flourish. One of his most notable Shakespearean roles to date was his portrayal of the lead character in the Royal Shakespeare Company's 2016 production of Hamlet.
