English actress Natalie Dormer is renowned for her captivating performances as Anne Boleyn in the Showtime series The Tudors and as Margaery Tyrell in the HBO series Game of Thrones.
Born in Reading, Berkshire, Dormer attended Chiltern Edge Secondary School before transitioning to Reading Blue Coat School, an independent boys' school that admits girls in the sixth form.
Growing up, Dormer was surrounded by her stepfather, mother, sister Samantha, and brother Mark. Unfortunately, she was a victim of bullying during her school years.
Despite this challenging experience, Dormer excelled academically, serving as head girl, a straight-A student, and vice-captain of the school netball team. Additionally, she had the opportunity to travel the world with her school's public speaking team.
In her free time, Dormer trained in dance at the Allenova School of Dancing. She identifies herself as the "academic hopeful" of the family and was offered a place to study history at Cambridge.
However, in her A-level History exam, Dormer did not achieve the A grade required to attend Cambridge. Undeterred, she decided to audition for drama schools and eventually trained at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
