Mostafa Monwar, a Bangladeshi actor and screenwriter, was born Mostafa Monwar Al-Azim. He gained recognition for his role as the protagonist in Live from Dhaka, earning the 2016 Singapore International Film Festival award for Best Performance.
Mostofa Monwar began his film career in 2011 with Guerrilla. In 2016, he starred as Sazzad in Live from Dhaka, showcasing his acting skills. The following year, he acted in the TV series Chabial Reunion. In 2018, his third film, Sincerely Yours, Dhaka, was released.
In 2019, Monwar starred in the Hoichoi series Dhaka Metro and appeared in the film Made in Bangladesh as Sohel. The same year, he was part of the TV series Ekattor as Selim. In July 2021, he played the role of Sabila's husband Arif in the ZEE5 series Ladies & Gentleman and appeared as Kabir in the Chorki anthology series Unoloukik.
In October 2021, Monwar was cast as the ambulance driver in No Ground Beneath the Feet. Later that year, he portrayed Zahir Raihan in the Chorki series Jaago Bahey, receiving the Channel I Digital Media Award 2021 for Best Emerging Actor of the year.
In June 2023, Monwar starred in the film Surongo, further solidifying his position as a talented Bangladeshi actor and screenwriter.
