Michael Andrew Jace, an American individual with a complex and tumultuous life, was born on July 13, 1962. He rose to fame with his portrayal of Julien Lowe, a Los Angeles Police Officer with a unique sexual orientation, in the FX drama series The Shield.
In addition to his notable role in The Shield, Jace has made appearances in various films and television shows, including State of Play, The Replacements, Forrest Gump, The Fan, and Law & Order. He has also had roles in TV movies such as Tyson, where he played boxer Mitch Green, and Michael Jordan: An American Hero, where he portrayed the legendary basketball player.
However, Jace's life took a drastic turn on May 19, 2014, when he was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department at his home in Hyde Park, South Los Angeles, following a domestic violence report and his own 9-1-1 call, in which he claimed to have shot his wife. Upon arrival, police found Jace's second wife, April, dead from gunshot wounds.
During the investigation, Jace confessed to the shooting, and on May 31, 2016, a jury convicted him of second-degree murder. He was subsequently sentenced to 40 years to life in prison, where he remains incarcerated at the Corcoran State Prison to this day.
