Megan Burns, also known as Betty Curse, is a talented English musician and actress born on June 25, 1986, in Liverpool, England.
At the tender age of 11, her grandmother encouraged her to pursue her passion for acting by sending her to acting classes, which ultimately led to her first film role in Liam (2000). Her outstanding performance earned her the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the prestigious Venice Film Festival, catching the attention of renowned director Danny Boyle, who cast her in his iconic film 28 Days Later.
Megan's versatility as an actress also led to her role in In2ruders, a film directed by Naeem Mahmood, alongside notable actors Tony Hadley and Caprice Bourret.
As a musician, Megan has released music under the pseudonym Betty Curse, starting with her debut double A-side single "Met on the Internet" and "Excuse All the Blood" on May 29, 2006. Her first album, Hear Lies, was released on October 31, 2006, via iTunes, followed by the CD version, Here Lies Betty Curse, in April 2007.
The album's singles, "God This Hurts" and "Girl with Yellow Hair", were released in August 2007 and November 13, respectively. In 2006, Megan showcased her musical talents and won on a Halloween special of the popular children's television program The Slammer with her performance of "Girl With Yellow Hair".
