Luke George Evans, a Welsh actor, was born on April 15, 1979. He began his career on the stage, performing in numerous London's West End productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf.
Evans made his film breakthrough in the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans. He was subsequently cast in action and thriller films like Immortals (2011),The Raven (2012),and The Three Musketeers (2011).
In 2013, Evans starred as the main antagonist Owen Shaw in the blockbuster Fast & Furious 6. He also played Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's three-part adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit.
Evans portrayed the vampire Dracula in the character's film origin story, Dracula Untold. In 2017, he starred as Gaston in Disney's live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
Evans also portrayed American psychologist William Moulton Marston, creator of fictional character Wonder Woman, in the biographical drama Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.
