Lauren Taylor is an American actress who has gained recognition for her roles in popular television series and musicals. She is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Shelby in the Disney Channel series "Best Friends Whenever" alongside Landry Bender. Prior to this, she starred as Harper in the Netflix series "Richie Rich".
In addition to her television work, Taylor has also made a name for herself in the world of musical theatre. She currently plays the role of Matilda in the musical "Matilda" and Glinda in the iconic production "Wicked".
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Taylor's passion for performing began at a young age. She started performing in school and community musical theatre productions at the age of eight, and later went on to compete in a 12-part chamber Cappella choir in middle school. This led to performances across the country, including a notable appearance at Carnegie Hall.
At the age of 14, Taylor began singing for the San Diego Symphony Summer Pop Concert Series, opening for renowned musical artists such as Michael Bolton, Wilson Phillips, Debbie Gibson, and Vanessa Williams.

Taylor is an accomplished student and athlete, having been an honor student and an all-around athlete who participated in competitive cheerleading for four years. She also played lacrosse and soccer.

She currently resides in Southern California with her mother, twin brothers Conner and Jordan, their Chocolate Lab Hanna, and two cats Mojo and Baby.
