Julian Black Antelope, a multifaceted individual of Irish and First Nation descent, hailing from Canada, has traversed a remarkable journey, marked by both adoption and self-discovery.
Raised by a non-aboriginal couple, he grew up outside of Fort MacLeod, situated in close proximity to the Kainai (Blood) and Piikani Blackfoot Reserves, yet remained largely unfamiliar with his native culture.
It wasn't until he left home at the tender age of 15 that he embarked on a quest to uncover his First Nation roots. This introspective pursuit ultimately led him to forge strong bonds with Blackfoot elders, who took him under their wing and guided him along his path.
Throughout his life, Julian Black Antelope has been candid about his heritage, stating, "I'm half-Irish and half some kind of Indian." This introspection is a testament to his ongoing journey of self-discovery and connection to his cultural identity.
Julian's most notable role to date is that of Darrien Tailfeathers on the esteemed series Blackstone. Beyond his acting career, he has also ventured into the realm of filmmaking, penning, directing, producing, or editing numerous independent short films and video documentaries, including the 2019 feature Harpoon.
