Jose Pablo Cantillo, an American actor of Costa Rican descent, was born on March 30, 1979. Growing up in Terre Haute, Indiana, he attended Terre Haute South Vigo High School, where he was a standout tennis player for four consecutive years, leading the Terre Haute South Braves to a State Runner-Up finish in 1996.
After high school, Cantillo went on to attend Indiana University, where he earned a double major in Finance and Marketing in 2002. Following his graduation, he decided to pursue an acting career in New York City, taking drama classes at IU to hone his craft.
In 2003, Cantillo made the move to California, where he resides with his wife Kristi and their 7-year-old daughter in Santa Clarita, a town that shares a resemblance to his hometown of Terre Haute. Prior to his West Coast relocation, Cantillo had already gained experience in off-Broadway plays in New York City.
Cantillo's early career consisted of roles guest on popular television series from the early 2000s to present. As his career progressed, he began landing supporting and larger roles, with his breakthrough occurring in 2006.
