Biography

Jerry Flynn, a talented individual, embarked on his journey in the world of theatre by training at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art from 1978 to 1980. During his time at RADA, he had the opportunity to learn alongside notable contemporaries such as Sir Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, Richard McCabe, John Sessions, and Paul McGann.

After graduating, Flynn worked with renowned director Deborah Warner in various productions, including "Woyczek", "Macbeth", and "The Trial". He later ventured into regional Rep. theatre, taking on roles in productions such as "Of Mice and Men", "On the Razzle", and "Pericles".

Between 1984 and 1988, Flynn was part of the Royal National Theatre, where he made his debut in Bill Bryden's production of "Golden Boy", earning critical acclaim and a nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. He continued to work at the RNT, appearing in productions such as "As I Lay Dying", "Anthony & Cleopatra", "Cymbeline", and "The Winter's Tale".

In the 1990s, Flynn took on leading roles in touring productions of "The Caretaker", "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me", "Stones in his Pockets", and "Edmund Kean". He also made appearances in numerous films, TV shows, and radio projects.

Flynn's passion for theatre extended beyond performance, as he co-founded and became the Artistic Director of The Globe Theatre Arts Foundation in Warsaw, Poland. With the support of various organizations, the Globe Theatre Group brought cutting-edge English productions to Poland, featuring professional artists from the UK, Ireland, and the USA.

During his time in Poland, Flynn adapted and directed drama for Polish TV, including "The Signalman", "The Rocking Horse Winner", and "Treasure Island". Additionally, he is a qualified teacher and lecturer in Theatre Arts studies, sharing his expertise with others.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jerry Flynn has demonstrated his versatility and dedication to the world of theatre, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
