Walking In Circles stands out as his first completed project, a milestone that may take another 22 years to be replicated, unless his entry, Shake, in the Cleveland 48 hour film festival, which garnered a nomination for best use of the required prop, is taken into account. A self-proclaimed lifelong geek, James harbors an unhealthy fixation on rolling dice and engaging in make-believe battles, where he assumes the role of a monster-slayer. To avoid the daunting task of writing, James resorts to reading, playing video games, and shunning direct sunlight.
