Born on December 30, 1939, this esteemed English actor, who began his acting career as a child, went on to enjoy a remarkable career spanning nearly two decades. One of his most notable roles was that of Jennings in the BBC Children's Hour production, "Jennings at School". However, he is perhaps most fondly remembered for his captivating portrayal of the endearing character, Tiny Tim, in the 1951 film adaptation of Charles Dickens' timeless classic, "Scrooge". In addition to his acting talents, Dearman also made a significant contribution to the world of radio, serving as a producer for the BBC in the latter part of his career. Furthermore, he demonstrated his versatility as a director, helming the radio plays of the renowned author, Angela Carter. Sadly, his life was cut short when he tragically fell down the stairs at his home, passing away at the age of 57 on November 30, 1997.
