Gerald du Maurier

Sir Gerald Hubert Edward Busson du Maurier, a renowned English actor and manager, was born into a family of artistic prominence. He was the son of celebrated writer George du Maurier and the brother of Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, a notable figure in her own right. In 1902, Sir Gerald married the talented actress Muriel Beaumont, with whom he shared a loving partnership and three daughters. These daughters, Angela du Maurier and Daphne du Maurier, both followed in their father's footsteps to become accomplished writers, while Jeanne du Maurier developed a passion for painting.
