Florence Faivre's early life was marked by a move from her hometown of Aix-en-Provence in southern France to Bangkok, Thailand, where she began her career in show business at the tender age of 13.
As a teenager, she hosted two Thai television shows, "Teentalk" and "E for Teens", and made numerous appearances as a guest presenter on international television programs throughout South East Asia.
In 2002, during her final year of high school, Florence was chosen to play the lead role in the film "The Siam Renaissance", produced by the acclaimed Thai filmmakers behind "Bangkok Dangerous" and "Tears of the Black Tiger". This film would go on to become the second largest Thai production to date.
Her performance in "The Siam Renaissance" earned her widespread critical acclaim, including a Best Actress nomination at the 2004 Bangkok International Film Festival.
Florence then relocated to New York City to further pursue her acting career, where she was soon cast alongside Bernard Giraudeau in 'Chokdee', a biographical drama based on the life of Dida Diafat, the world's first French champion in Thai Boxing.
She went on to star in "The Elephant King", alongside Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, was a Spotlight Film at the Hamptons International Film Festival, and won numerous awards at festivals around the world.
Florence has also recently concluded work on "The Coffin", which will make its market premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2008.
In addition to her film work, Florence has guest-starred in several television shows, including "The Following", "How to Make it in America", and "Kings".
Florence currently splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles.
