Fernando Alonso Díaz, a Spanish racing driver, was born on July 29, 1981. Throughout his illustrious career, he has achieved numerous remarkable accomplishments.
Alonso has won the Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship twice, in 2005 and 2006, while driving for Renault, a team he was a part of from 2003 to 2008. This impressive feat made him a two-time world champion.
In addition to his Formula 1 victories, Alonso has also excelled in other racing disciplines. He has won the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2019, and has secured first-place finishes in the 2018 and 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as the 2019 24 Hours of Daytona.
Alonso has consistently performed well in Formula 1, finishing as runner-up in the championship three times, in 2010, 2012, and 2013. He has also secured a third-place finish in 2007.
Throughout his Formula 1 career, Alonso has driven for several top-tier teams, including Minardi, Renault, McLaren, and Scuderia Ferrari. He spent four years with Ferrari, from 2010 to 2014, before leaving the team to return to McLaren from 2015 to 2018.
After a two-year hiatus from Formula 1, Alonso returned to the sport with the Alpine F1 Team in 2021. He has since moved to Aston Martin, where he will continue to compete in the 2023 season and beyond.
