Erick's life story is a testament to the power of pursuing one's passions, even when it means taking a risk. Born and raised in Guatemala, Erick's early exposure to soap operas with his grandmother sparked a desire to become an actor, a dream that would stay with him throughout his childhood.
Growing up in a small village with his grandparents, Erick would reenact scenes from his favorite shows, honing his skills and developing a sense of creativity. As he entered his teenage years, Erick made the bold decision to leave his homeland and move to the United States, where he would have the opportunity to attend college and study business administration.
However, it was during his time at college that Erick's true calling became clear. He enrolled in an introductory acting class, and it was as if the curtain had risen on a new chapter in his life. The thrill of performing, the rush of adrenaline, and the sense of fulfillment he experienced on stage rekindled his childhood dream of becoming an actor.
With renewed purpose, Erick made the courageous decision to switch his major to acting, a choice that would be met with both excitement and fear. And it was this same combination of emotions that would become a recurring theme throughout his acting career.
Erick's academic journey ultimately led him to receive his Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree in theater performance from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Before transitioning to television and film, Erick had the opportunity to hone his craft on stage, taking on roles such as Valentin in The Kiss of the Spider Woman and Marmeladov in an original production of Crime & Punishment.
As his career progressed, Erick's television credits included notable shows such as Eastbound & Down, The Bridge, Back in the Game, and Southland. Despite the challenges and uncertainties that came with pursuing his passion, Erick's determination and perseverance have allowed him to thrive in the competitive world of acting.
