Dimitri Diatchenko, a native of San Francisco, embarked on his educational journey at Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts. Subsequently, he pursued his passion for music at Stetson University in Deland, Florida, where he was a scholarship music student, majoring in classical guitar. Upon completing his Bachelor's program, he furthered his studies at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, continuing his acting and music endeavors in the Master's program.
Dimitri's initial foray into acting was as the lead in the play "Foxfire" by Hume Cronin, where he portrayed the country music star Dillard Nations. He continued to hone his acting skills on stage and screen in various Florida-based projects from 1990 to 1996, studying under the tutelage of renowned instructors Ken Stilson and George Judy. Notable projects during this period include the award-winning short films "Third on a Match," "Used Cars," and "Goiter Boy."
As Dimitri prepared to graduate with his Master's degree from Florida State University in April 1996, he secured a small role as a Navy Seal in Ridley Scott's Demi Moore-starring film "G.I. Jane." Following this breakthrough, Diatchenko relocated to Los Angeles, marking the official beginning of his professional acting career.
In addition to his acting endeavors, Dimitri continues to excel as a master classical guitarist. As a soloist, he has released four guitar CDs, and his original composition for solo guitar, "Tango en Paraiso," is featured on the soundtrack of his film "Remarkable Power." This piece was subsequently published by Mel Bay Publications in "Master Anthology of New Classic Guitar Solos, Vol. 1."
Dimitri has also performed on the soundtrack of the film he co-stars in, "Clubhouse," and has arranged a Django gypsy jazz treatment of Hungarian Dance No. 5 by J. Brahms for the film "Repossessed."
