David Andrew Kaye, a talented Vancouver-based artist, was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, before his family relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia. His early start in the film industry began with a notable role in the Academy Award-winning film Legends of the Fall (1994),where he played Samuel Decker.
As a child actor, David continued to work in the industry, transitioning to voice over work in 2001. He voiced the title character in Make Way for Noddy (2001) for an impressive 100 episodes. However, he took a break from acting to pursue his education at the University of British Columbia.
During his time at university, David discovered a new passion for film production, which led him to take a film production class. This experience ultimately inspired him to co-found Whiskaye Films with Jameson Parker in 2008.
David graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting. Following his graduation, he performed in various live shows, including multiple award-winning productions of the hip-hop Shakespeare musical "The Bombitty of Errors" in BC.
As his live performances gained momentum, David also continued to produce music videos through Whiskaye Films. He collaborated with award-winning writer and director Tyler Funk, teaming up with North of Now Films to produce branded digital content and broadcast commercials. These projects garnered millions of online views and multiple awards.
In addition to his work in film and television, David is also producing and voicing characters in the animated series White Ninja (2015). His impressive acting credits also include the 2001 film 3000 Miles to Graceland.
