Charles Newirth is an American film producer born on August 22, 1955.
Newirth executive produced several Marvel Studios and Disney films, including Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Doctor Strange, and Iron Man 3.
Prior to working with Marvel, Newirth was the head of physical production at Revolution Studios from May 2000 to June 2007. During his tenure, the studio released 47 films, including America's Sweethearts, Black Hawk Down, and Hellboy.
Before joining Revolution, Newirth produced several films, including Patch Adams, Home Fries, and Galaxy Quest. He also co-produced Robert Zemeckis' Forrest Gump, which won multiple Academy Awards.
Newirth's other credits include Zookeeper, City of Angels, Ghosts of Mississippi, The American President, Phenomenon, Toys, Bugsy, and Avalon. He began his career as a location manager on films such as Flashdance, Pretty in Pink, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, before moving up to production manager and eventually becoming a producer.
Newirth received his BA in Photography and Cinema from Ohio State University and is raised in Scarsdale, New York.
