Billy Connolly: A Scottish comedian, musician, presenter, and actor, often referred to as "The Big Yin" in his native Scotland. His early career began in the 1960s as a welder, specifically a boilermaker, in the Glasgow shipyards, but he eventually left this trade to pursue a career in folk music with the Humblebums and later as a solo artist.
As the decade drew to a close, Connolly began to transition from folk music to comedy, eventually becoming a full-time comedian. He also ventured into acting, appearing in a range of films, including Indecent Proposal, Mrs. Brown, for which he received a BAFTA nomination, The Boondock Saints, The Man Who Sued God, Water, The Last Samurai, Timeline, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, and The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
Connolly reprised his role as Noah "Il Duce" MacManus in Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, and he appeared as the King of Lilliput in the 2010 remake of Gulliver's Travels.
