Her educational background is marked by a concentration in cinematography, which she earned from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
At the tender age of 26, England was handpicked by renowned filmmaker Zalman King to star in his cinematic adaptation of Anaïs Nin's acclaimed novel, Delta of Venus. This marked the beginning of a long-standing collaboration between England and King, as she went on to appear in numerous productions, including the popular film series Red Shoe Diaries.
In addition to her work with King, England also made a notable appearance in the music video for Don Henley's hit single, The Boys of Summer, which received widespread critical acclaim and earned the MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year at the 1985 MTV Video Music Awards.
