Ato Essandoh is a highly accomplished American television and film actor, born on July 29th, 1972, in Schenectady, New York. He graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1990, and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University.
In addition to his academic achievements, Essandoh is also a talented playwright, and his work, "Black Thang", was published in the anthology "Plays and Playwrights 2003". He further honed his acting skills by studying at the Acting Studio in New York City.
Essandoh is also a co-founder of The Defiant Ones writing and performance group, showcasing his creative versatility. His parents hail from Ghana, West Africa, which has undoubtedly influenced his cultural identity.
A notable aspect of Essandoh's college experience was his involvement with the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity at Cornell University, which also led to his membership in the Irving Literary Society.
