Anne Veronica Maria Quayle was born on October 6, 1932, and passed away on August 16, 2019. She received her education at the Convent of Jesus and Mary High School in Harlesden.
Quayle's acting career spanned various mediums, including film, stage, and television. Her film appearances include a memorable scene with John Lennon in A Hard Day's Night (1964),a German expressionist sequence in Casino Royale (1967),and a role as Baroness Bomburst in the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968).
On stage, Quayle appeared in the original Broadway production of Stop the World - I Want to Get Off in 1963, opposite Anthony Newley, for which she won a Tony Award for Best Supporting Musical Actress.
In television, Quayle worked on a range of shows, including the comedy drama Mapp and Lucia, the children's science fiction series The Georgian House, and Grange Hill, where she played the role of Mrs. Monroe from 1990 to 1994.
Quayle also appeared as a regular panellist on the popular BBC2 panel game show What's My Line? in 1973.
