Amber Smith's story is one of exceptional talent, beauty, and determination. As a gifted high school student with a 155 IQ, she was discovered at an international modeling convention and soon found herself flying to Paris to work with top photographers and establish a reputation for her passion and expressiveness on film and in print.
Her exotic good looks drew the attention of renowned photographers such as Helmut Newton, and she went on to grace the covers of prestigious magazines like Vogue, Elle, Esquire, Maxim, and Playboy. Amber's chameleon-like quality allowed her to effortlessly transition between high-fashion and commercial modeling, walking the runway for Chanel and representing Loreal Cosmetics and Wonderbra in their national advertising campaigns.
She then achieved the ultimate accolade for a fashion model by appearing in the coveted role of Sports Illustrated magazine's swimwear model. Amber has produced four award-winning calendars, two nationally released posters, and a modeling documentary DVD, "Amber Smith Raw," which is available in stores.
In addition to her modeling career, Amber has also ventured into acting, working with acclaimed directors such as Curtis Hanson, Abel Ferrara, Paul Mazursky, and Barbra Streisand. She has landed parts in two Academy Award-winning movies, L.A. Confidential and American Beauty, as well as a host of others. Her television credits include Dame un respiro and Friends, and she has also appeared in several other films and television shows.
In 2005, E! Entertainment chose Amber for a reality show pilot, titled "The Amber Smith Project," which follows her efforts to open up a modeling agency in Miami Beach. She also filmed a pilot for "The Anchorwoman," in which she takes over the life of a broadcast journalist. The show is currently in development.
Most recently, Amber launched the Michelob Ultra Amber Lite beer "Meet Amber" campaign, which features her image, name, and signature on all promotional materials. The "Meet Amber" national tour was launched in the summer of 2006 and ran through the end of the year.
