In a small town near Marseille, once thriving due to its dockyard but now in decline, a writing workshop is held to help young people find employment. Under the guidance of novelist Olivia Dejazet, the participants write noir fiction connected to the town's industrial past. Among them, Antoine stands out for his provocative and aggressive behavior, including his opposition to Olivia. His disturbing story about a mass murder from the killer's perspective raises concerns, and Olivia begins to feel a mix of attraction and repulsion towards Antoine.
