The Tin Mine

The movie is set in 1950 and is based on the autobiographical short stories of Archin Panjabhan. It follows Archin's journey after he is expelled from Bangkok's Chulalongkorn University in his sophomore year and is sent to the south.

The story follows Archin, a young man from Bangkok, who is sent to southern Thailand after being expelled from university. He arrives at a remote mining company, only to find that there are no jobs available. However, he is hired as a manual laborer by the superintendent, Sam, a stern Australian veteran. Despite being ridiculed by the other workers for being a "Bangkok boy", Archin proves himself to be a valuable member of the team, eventually becoming a trusted surveyor.
