Cardinal arrested for treason against the state, despite being a revered Prince of the Church and a celebrated hero for his courageous resistance against the Nazis during and after World War II.

A high-ranking church official is imprisoned for treason, despite being a hero for his people's resistance against the Nazis and a subsequent totalitarian regime. His interrogator uses psychological manipulation and physical torture to try and extract a false confession, but the prisoner remains steadfast, refusing to weaken even under intense pressure.
