In a run-down industrial town, five brothers move back in with their mother, struggling with debt and dead-end jobs. Their mother, Meetje, also takes in her grandson Gunther, who is 13 and initially seen as a troublemaker. Despite his potential, Gunther's life is marked by his family's negative influence, but he may find a way to turn things around through love or self-discovery.
