Mohammed Assaf, a talented singer from Gaza, grows up with a golden voice. He performs with his sister Nour and friends, but tragedy strikes when Nour dies of kidney failure, leaving Mohammed heartbroken and bitter. War ravages his hometown, and he's forced to drive a taxi to fund his studies. Despite his passion for singing, he can only see a career outside of Gaza, which seems impossible without a visa. His only hope is to participate in the prestigious "Arab Idol" contest.
