An entomologist named Dr. Iane Thorne makes an unusual discovery while recording field observations, finding blue and green marbled mineral nodules in a shallow pool. After sending some to a colleague, the package is destroyed by a mysterious glowing ball of light, along with the postal carrier and another man.
