Pat Pitsenbarger, a former hairdresser and prominent figure in Sandusky's gay community, escapes his nursing home to attend the funeral of a former customer. Along the way, he visits his late partner's grave and receives a wardrobe makeover from a woman who admires his style. He revisits his old drag performances at a gay bar, where he faces his anger and sadness over being betrayed by a former protégé and a customer who abandoned him after his partner's AIDS-related death.
