Consumed by paranoia after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, a family of four hides in their fallout shelter, never to leave. By 1993, the parents had passed away, but their three adult children, Tina, Pam, and Scotty, remain, living in isolation without human contact. They develop their own rules and rituals based on memories of life above, old records, and TV signals.
