A young scientist, Harrison, is driven to cure cancer and regenerate lost limbs using lizard DNA, but his domineering mother and her boyfriend plan to steal his research and sell it as their own. After a tragic accident involving his arm, Harrison injects himself with his regeneration serum, resulting in a scaly limb with a killer mind of its own. He seeks help from a group of homeless war veterans and tries to use his serum to transform them, hoping they will aid him in retrieving his stolen research.
