In a small town, a half-Indian ranch owner named Frank Madden, disguising himself as a white man, clashes with the Shipley brothers, who are found not guilty of lynching three Indians by an all-white jury. Tensions escalate as the Shipleys use Frank's land to graze their cattle, leading to a violent confrontation when the brother of one of the lynched Indians kills a Shipley. Frank is wrongly accused and imprisoned, prompting the Shipleys to assemble a lynch mob to storm the jail.
