A young widow, a dance student by trade, leaves her home after her husband's passing and moves to California. To make ends meet, she takes a job as a burlesque dancer. However, the club is sold and transformed into a strip club, forcing her to perform more explicit routines. Unbeknownst to her, a photographer, hired by her father-in-law, is in the audience, capturing compromising images of her performances. These photos are then used in an attempt to gain custody of her son.
