Monika, a young Berliner, leads a double life as a hospital nurse by day and a graveyard explorer by night, searching for fresh corpses. When she finds out about a stranger's suicide, she decides to exhume the body and bring it home, despite her new boyfriend's presence. As her necrophilic obsession grows, Monika must choose between showing affection to the living or giving all her love to the dead.
